We were in North Carolina this weekend for a church event and we always stay an extra day afterwards to do something outdoorsy. Living in South Florida, we don’t get much fall weather so it’s a treat to spend some time in nature enjoying the crisp fall air. This year we decided to go apple picking, something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. (I may not seem like the most outdoorsy person BUT fun fact – I am!) I love being outside especially when it involves beautiful weather, fruit picking of some sort, and a picnic!
Out of the four types of apples they had that were ripe when we were there, Fuji was our favorite. They’re the perfect combination of sweet, tart, and crisp.

We ended our perfect little date with the yummiest apple cider donuts! They literally melted in your mouth – yum!
