Here are a couple items that I will be reaching for this fall/winter.
Coat
Well, I finally gave in and jumped on the teddy coat band wagon! And I must say, its pretty great. It’s basically a life size teddy bear that you can wear and cuddle with in the cold. I went for a more affordable option since I do live in Florida and won’t get too much use out of it but I’m still incredibly pleased with the fit and quality of it. I wore it with a thin black turtleneck sweater, black jeans, and biker boots and I was toasty warm in 50 degree Chicago weather. If you need it for colder temperatures, you can definitely add an under layer and a thicker sweater.
Unfortunately this exact one just went out of stock. Here is the link incase it comes back and here are some other options: Asos (similar), H&M (more colors), Madewell (darker), Urban Outfitters (shorter)
Sweater
Mock-neck knit sweaters are my absolute favorite types of sweaters. I find them to be so cozy and put together at the same time. The length of the neck helps in keeping warm and is very flattering on the neck. Here are a couple options that I love: H&M (black), H&M (pink), Everlane (camel), Everlane (thin/black)
Boots
Over the knee boots make for a great extra layer while adding a little something extra to a simple outfit. I like to pair them with supper skinny jeans and an oversized sweater. (I find that this combination gives the illusion of longer legs.) My boots are from two years ago but here are two similar options: Designer & High Street
Hat
A good hat is like the cherry on top of an outfit! It can completely transform and pull together a look. I’ve recently been playing around with this beret and find that it works with so many different outfits! I paired it with a black turtleneck and blazer.
Under Layer
My secret to staying warm while still looking cute: Hot Chillys (top, bottom). They are super thin so they fit under everything(even skinny jeans) making it easy to always stay warm while not having to compromise on looking stylish in the cold.
…………
The black skinny jeans I’m wearing with most of the outfits are Abercrombie & Fitch. They are my go-to for skinny jeans, especially black skinny jeans. Since black jeans tend to fade easily in the wash, I find myself buying a fresh pair often so I like to opt for a more affordable option. Here are the exact pair I am wearing.
