My Favorite Things: April Edit

Things I’m loving in the month of April and that I will be using throughout spring.

One.

Volition Beauty – Prismatic Luminizing Shield SPF 50 –$35

I picked up this product about a month and a half ago not knowing much about it, but I was pleasantly surprised! It’s a lightweight sunscreen that leaves your skin super soft and smooth. It’s also supposed to minimize pores and reduce uneven skin tone, which it sure does! About three weeks in, I noticed my dark spots were getting lighter and my skin was breaking out significantly less. It also goes on super nice under makeup and I feel like it helps keep my makeup on longer.

TWO.

Ceramic Pour Over Set – $25

Having a morning routine is super helpful in preparing yourself for a productive day. My favorite part of my morning routine is definitely making my coffee. Pour overs are my preferred method of choice for my morning coffee. I love the process of preparing everything, weighing everything out, and even listening as the coffee drips into the jug – it’s almost therapeutic. So, when I saw this set, I had to have it. It so minimal and clean so it looks great on the couture!

Three.

Our patio

I talked about our new patio in a previous blog but I had to mention it again in this spring favorites! It seriously brings us so much joy to have this little set up outside. We’ve been having our dinner almost every night out here while enjoying this beautiful spring weather.

Four.

Mrs. Meyer’s Peony Room Freshener –$5

You guys. This scent is everything! I fell in love with the Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning products in the peony scent last spring but they were limited edition. So, I was so happy for spring to roll back around so I could get my hands on them again. I never tried the room spray before but it’s everything you can imagine it to be – fresh, sweet, springy, and so delicious! It’s a must have for spring!

(They sell it a Target but its a little cheaper on the Grove website.)

Five.

Zit Sticka

I found this company on Instagram about 2 months ago and I just had to give them a try! These are little “stickers” that you place on a zit to minimize and reduce the zit. The “sticker” has little spikes (or micro-darts) that pierce your skin and then dissolve, delivering the product deeper into your skin. I tried them out (went through a whole box) and you guys, they work! I like to leave it on over night and the next morning, my zit is significantly smaller, flatter, and less red.

Six.

Castañer Wedges – $140

Wedges are a must have for spring. I recently got these Castañer ones and I really like them! They are super comfortable, go with everything, and add just the right touch of femininity to your look. I got mine in this sand color because I feel like white canvas gets dirty so fast. I also got the ones with the thicker platform because they add some extra height without compromising on comfort.

Seven.

Wicker/Jute Everything

This comes as no surprise. I’m obsessed with everything wicker/jute/and anything resembling it. I love to incorporate it in my outfits (bags, shoes, accessories) and my home decor (rugs, placemats, cups). It gives off a natural/organic feel wherever you put it and that’s exactly what I want, especially in the spring time. Here are several of my favorite items:

Eight.

Lisianthus Flowers

Totally random, but I’ve been so into theses flowers lately. Not only are they so so pretty but they also stay fresh for so long! These survived two weeks in my house and all of the little buds bloomed over the course of those two weeks. Each stem can have between 2-4 flowers on them! They’re the flower that keeps on giving! You can usually find them at Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, or your local flower shop.

Nine.

Everlane Pants (size 0)

In the spring time, I usually transition to more flowy clothing items. When it comes to pants, I like to go with either a straight leg or a wide leg cropped pant because I find that it looks and feels more effortless and comfortable. These Everlane ones are super comfortable and well made.
