The perfect little white linen dress for a beach vacation.
We recently visited Rosemary and Alys Beach for a short weekend getaway. Ive been wanting to go for quite some time now and finally found the chance to go for my husbands birthday. The moment we got there we wanted to kick ourselves for not going sooner! It is such a beautiful little town! It has very much of a Hamptons mixed with Charleston vibe but much smaller and closer to home (Miami). Almost all of the houses are beautiful coastal white houses, each unique in their own way. But the most beautiful part of all are the white sandy beaches. We caught a bit of cool weather when we were visiting (50s/60s) so we didn’t get a chance to go in the water but just sitting down and looking out at the crystal clear calm water was good enough for me.
When I think of a perfect beach dress the first things that come to mind are: white, linen, and flowy. This dress is just that. The mid calf length was not too long that it would drag in the sand and not too short that it would blow upwards in the wind. The brown buttons added a sense of casual comfy and the big pockets were perfect for collecting seashells! It was flowy enough to be comfortable but it also cinched in at the waist to create some shape.
